This blog may upset you if you are an SME in the UK
"As far as the system is concerned, virtually nobody "loves ya"
Via Telegraph Blogs Please do not
read on if you are one of the four million British citizens who
make up Enterprise Britain. This
blog may upset you. You are driving yourself 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, 12 months a year to run, manage or work within a
business which is friendless.
Nobody likes you or frankly cares about you.
Banks and bankers don't like you because you don't make them
enough money. BERR (the old, discredited Small Business Unit of the
DTI) tries to get them to offer the Loan Guarantee Scheme but they
have no intention of doing so because it is too much work for too
little reward. Social responsibility simply does not come into
it.

vendors define cloud computing narrowly as an updated version of
utility computing: basically virtual
servers available over the Internet. Others go very
broad, arguing anything you consume outside the firewall is "in the
cloud," including conventional outsourcing.
